Project Description: The American Airlines Center (AAC) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Victory Park in downtown Dallas, Texas. The arena serves as the home of the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association. The arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainment.

Description of Project Services Provided:

Multiple projects in the Center and adjacent Office Buildings included:

  • Test, Adjust and Balance in accordance with the Associated Air Balance Council procedures. Ventilation and smoke exhaust performance was a critical requirement particularly in the arena areas.
  • Commissioning process in accordance with USGBC, Associated Air Balance Council, and ASHRAE procedures.  Systems commissioning include chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, variable air volume devices, fan powered boxes, domestic hot water system, lighting controls and building automation systems.
